# How to obtain an API key?

You'll need the API key to implement any integration in EverTransit. Learn how to obtain the API key for your fleet by following the next steps.

**Step 1.** Navigate to the developer section on your EverTransit portal.

**Step 2**. Click on the "**API**" card.

**Step 3**. Click on the "**Show**" button.

**Step 4.** Copy the *API Key* by clicking on the "**Clipboard**" button icon.

Note that you need to have the EverTransit API feature enabled. If you haven't already enabled it, you need to contact us to enable this feature for your fleet.
